By accessing salishfoundry.com or any subdomain we operate (collectively, the "Site"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you don't agree, please don't use the Site.
02About the Site
The Site is an informational presence for Salish Foundry, LLC, a Washington limited liability company. It exists to describe what we do, to invite inquiries, and to host documentation for our software products. Use of any individual software product is governed by the license that ships with that product.
03Permitted use
You may view, read, and link to the Site. You may share short quotes for the purposes of commentary or news reporting, provided you attribute the quote to Salish Foundry.
You may not:
- Use automated systems to access the Site at a rate that exceeds reasonable human use, or in a way that degrades the experience for other visitors;
- Reproduce substantial portions of the Site's text, design, or code without our written permission;
- Attempt to probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of any part of the Site, except as part of a coordinated disclosure with us (see § 09);
- Misrepresent your identity in any communication sent to us through the Site.
04Intellectual property
The Site's text, layout, graphics, source code, and trademarks are owned by Salish Foundry, LLC or used with permission. The name Salish Foundry, the foundry-mark logo, and related visual identity are unregistered trademarks of Salish Foundry, LLC. Open-source dependencies are governed by their respective licenses.
05Inquiries and submissions
If you submit an idea, suggestion, or other unsolicited material through the Site, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free, perpetual license to consider and act on it, without obligation to compensate you. We will not share your submission with third parties except as required to respond to it.
Please do not send us confidential information through the contact form. If we need to exchange confidential material, we'll put an NDA in place first.
06No professional advice
Content on the Site is provided for general information. It is not legal, financial, security, or other professional advice, and it is not a substitute for a paid engagement. Don't rely on the Site for decisions that warrant professional review.
07Disclaimer of warranties
The Site is provided "as is" and "as available." To the maximum extent permitted by law, Salish Foundry disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components.
08Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Salish Foundry will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of the Site, whether in contract, tort, or otherwise, and whether or not we have been advised of the possibility of such damages. Our total liability arising out of these Terms is limited to one hundred US dollars ($100).
09Security disclosures
If you discover a security issue with the Site or with any of our software products, please email security@salishfoundry.com with details and we'll respond promptly. We thank good-faith reporters publicly when an issue is resolved, subject to their preference.
10Changes
We may revise these Terms from time to time. The most current version will always be at this URL, with the "Effective" date updated accordingly. Material changes will be flagged on the Site for a reasonable period.
11Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Washington, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. The state and federal courts located in King County, Washington shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising out of or related to these Terms.
